Members of AUSL’s Finance, Human Relations, External Relations, and Athletics staff participated in a community effort to clean up damage at the Lake Meadows Shopping Center. Equipped with a mask for social distancing, the AUSL team with family and friends brought brooms, rakes, gloves, and other cleanup materials. The event organized by the Official Black Owned Chicago, coordinated similar cleanup efforts in Roseland and Bronzeville.

The event was highly successful, with many in the community stepping up to assist in cleanup efforts. The AUSL team eventually moved to help with cleanup efforts at the Walgreens on Cermack near The Chicago Teachers Academy.
