Impact through innovation
Pioneering the in-district innovation zone
Since becoming the nation’s first urban teacher residency program in 2001 and the nation’s first in-district innovation zone in 2006, we have worked in partnership with the Chicago Public School System to transform the city’s lowest-performing schools.
AUSL has trained 1,155 high-quality teachers, transformed 31 schools, and impacts children throughout Chicago’s South and West sides.
We provide Advisory Services for school districts across the country. And recently, we were recognized as a key element of Chicago’s learning gains over the last decade.
