Never miss a story!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]AUSL extends congratulations to AUSL Network Elementary School students. AUSL, its teachers and staff congratulate our students on their accomplishments throughout Elementary School and wish our students well on their journey through High School. Their commitment to excellence in education, especially during a second semester disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest fighting for the Black Lives Matter movement is exceptional. We congratulation them on finishing another year, and to our 8th graders, congratulations on graduating to High School. The AUSL Network is excited to see our students flourish.

AUSL is highlighting the Valedictorians and Salutatorians from our Chicago Public Schools Network.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Antwan McGee, Valedictorian
High school Antwan will attend: Gary Comer College Prep
My favorite memories would have to be all of the times our class got to spend time with each other outside of school. For example, when we went to see the play that Mr. Gallion wrote, but my fondest memory would have to be when I scored the highest I’ve ever scored on my reading test. I felt very accomplished and I was really proud of myself. Also I felt like as a class we’ve gotten along more this year, there wasn’t really any drama between us. I can tell that the majority of our class has matured and I’m proud of them, I see that they’ve come a long way from 6th grade. I got to see everyone mature as we all did grow up together, I’m so proud of the class of 2020.

High School Daniyah will attend: Gary Comer College Prep
My favorite memory is the fact that I got to spend time with people I’ve grown up with.  I saw everybody change as a person regardless if we were in the same friend group or not. Even during challenging times where people in our classroom had challenging moments, we came together and tried to fix the problem.  Even though I am ready to graduate and start the next chapter in my life, I will miss the vibe I had with this class as they’ve seen me in good and bad times.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

“My favorite elementary school memory was when we went to Winter Wonderland at Navy Pier. It was early this year and it was so fun. I remember being so excited with my friends to get on the rides and eat the food. Once we got there the first ride we got on was the CliffHanger, which made us feel like we could fly. Once we got off we went on some more rides. Shared some more laughs, ate some food, and spent time together. I’ll always remember that day because it was one of the last times I could spend with my friends and teachers without doing school work. So that’s my favorite memory.”
