Chicago Academy High School graduate Adrienne Toney is attending Olivet Nazarene University, where she will be able to integrate her faith with her collegiate studies. 

Adrienne described how one of her classes in high school, although difficult, also motivated her to continue moving forward towards college. The dual-credit Biology class helped Adrienne learn how to begin tackling problems the way a college student would.

She praises her favorite high school teacher, Mr. Ishaq, as a:

…ray of sunshine… He always manages to lift everyone’s spirits.

One of her best memories from high school is her first day of Freshmen Connection ahead of starting high school. Going in, Adrienne was nervous but soon found that everyone was very friendly and open. In the end, she was grateful that she was able to make acquaintances there and that she got the opportunity to meet her teachers ahead of time.
